Where did you meet your husband?
Brandon and I meet in high school. We had mutual friends but didn't really start hanging out until senior year. Brandon always ran with the "punk" crowd and I was always a little "wierded" out by him. Senior year though he started hanging out with the LDS kids and thats when we became friends. He later got me a job at the DQ which is where we really started to like each other

What was the first thing you said to your husband?
Probably "hey". He was (is) pretty shy and I remember it was like pulling teeth to get him to talk. One occasion, I remember complaining that my legs itch, and he told me that maybe I needed to take a shower. He had a funny way of flirting. I always liked his personality though. He made (makes) me laugh all the time.

Where was the first kiss? First date?
Technically our first date was going to see a band at the Borders Book store and then going to get ice cream with a bunch of friends. He then asked me to prom, which was still with a group. So our first single date was a week after we graduated. He took me on starlight tour of FLW Taliesin West, it was really beautiful. That night was our first kiss...

We were both so nervous. It was both of ours first kiss and we both really liked each other. Funny Story is that maybe a week before he asked me if he could kiss me, but I was so nervous so I told him that I had my braces tighten so my mouth hurt, man I was a nerd. Anyways we were probably standing outside my house for 2 hours, trying to work up some courage. When it finally did happen, it was fast and then I ran away. Pretty romantic. It took me a good ten times before we could just kiss causually. I was always nervous I was doing it wrong.

Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement?
Brandon and I dated for a year before he left on his mission to Louisana. I always told myself that if we were meant to be together then we would be. Brandon always knew we were going to get married and he told me that all the time. We had our problems when were dating but he really was a huge part of my life and we were in love. After he left, I was so sad and I missed him so much. I then knew that we were going to be together. So I guess you can say I waited. I just focused on school and wrote him lots of letters. Towards the end of his mission, I knew for a fact that we would get married that year. He got back in May 18 2006. We kissed May 19th. We got engaged May 23rd. And were married August 5th 2006.

Where did you get engaged?
I knew Brandon wanted to do something special but with a small budget he had limited resources. After going to dinner at 5 & Diner, he took me to the top of South Mountain, which has some amazing views of the city, kind of like Taliesin. He didn't know though that at night time, the mountain becomes a fiesta, pinatas and all. So he proposed to me with the sweet sounds of mariachi music in the background. It makes me laugh just thinking about it.
Where did you get married?
We got married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple in the middle of summer. It was a brisk 110 degrees that day and to make it worse our sealing was at 11 in the morning and my colors were green and BLACK. Even though it was hot, that day was still amazing and I will always remember it. I know being sealed to Brandon was and will be the best decision I will ever make. I never regret falling in love with him and love him even more now then I did that day.
How did the reception go?
I can't remember anything really bad happening at the reception, besides a couple little things with food and decorations. We had it at our church in Tempe. It went by really fast and there were a LOT of people. The food was good and everyone seem to be having fun which is all I wanted. Our families helped out so much making sure everything was going smoothly so that I didn't have to worry about it.

How was the honeymoon?
We spent our first night in a hotel down the street from our first apartment in North Tempe. We then left the next day to California, where we went to Six Flags and Hollywood. Then we came back on Tuesday to see AFI with my sister and Brandon's brother but that night Brandon was starting to get sick. The next day we were headed to Sedona to stay in a really nice resort. That night though Brandon got worse and was not sleeping through the night. He had a high fever and was throwing up. We believe he got food poisoning from a McDonalds in Bythe California. So in Sedona we mostly stayed in the hotel and watched movies. Besides Brandon being sick, it was a good time and I like to bring up that on our honeymoon we saw AFI, Brandon's second love.
